F48-ZBKΩ DC Power Grid Insulation Monitor

Product Overview

The F48-ZBKΩ DC Grid Insulation Monitor is a DC grid insulation resistance tester that integrates both indication and detection functions. It outputs an alarm signal when the grid insulation resistance drops below a preset threshold. Indication Accuracy: Class 1.0 (or Class 1.5 based on arc length). Alarm Accuracy: 10kΩ±2kΩ; 30kΩ±6kΩ; 60kΩ±6kΩ; 100kΩ±10kΩ. Ambient Temperature: -25°C to +55°C. Enclosure Protection: IP44 (IP56 achievable with the addition of a protective cover; must be specified at the time of order). Vibration Resistance: 2–100 Hz, ≤0.7g. Dielectric Strength: AC 2.5kV, 50 Hz, 1 min. Power Consumption: ≤2 VA. Output Contact Capacity: AC 250V, 1A; DC 28V, 1A.

**Operating Instructions**

Before use, first verify that the meter's pointer rests at the mechanical zero position (the "∞" position) on the scale while the power is off; if it does not, adjust it accordingly. Once the power supply is connected, the green indicator light on the meter's front panel will illuminate, indicating that the meter has begun operation.

Located on the back of the meter is a selector switch with the following functions for each position:

a. **(Self-Test) Position:** When the switch is set to this position, the meter's pointer will indicate a reading of 10 kΩ. After a brief delay, the red alarm indicator light will illuminate, and the normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) output contacts will simultaneously switch states; this confirms that the meter is functioning correctly.

b. **"10 kΩ" Position:** This sets the meter's alarm threshold. If the insulation resistance value of the monitored network drops below this preset value, an alarm event will be triggered. At this point, the red alarm light will illuminate, and a contact switching signal will be output for use with external alarm systems.

c. **"30 kΩ" through "100 kΩ" Positions:** Functions are identical to those described in section b.

3. For meters intended for special applications, please append the suffix "J" after the numerical portion of the model number (this applies exclusively to meters with a 240° scale), e.g., F96-ZBKΩ.

**Note:** It is strictly prohibited to use this meter simultaneously with any other insulation resistance meters within the same electrical network.
